Anderson to return for London Olympics

Anderson Varejao is currently nursing a broken left wrist that has kept him out of action for about seven weeks.

The Brazilian big guy however is optimistic that he will soon make his return saying that he wants to play for the Cavs before the season ends.

“I want to play. That is my job. I want to play before the season ends even if we have zero chances to make the playoffs.” Varejao said.

Does this mean that he will play in the London Olympics? “If I’m healthy, I will play” responded Varejao.

Given that he will likely return to action for the Cavaliers, who would not use him if he weren’t 100% healthy as no playoffs are at stake, it is safe to assume that Anderson’s chances to make the Brazilian Olympic squad are very good.
