Multiple league sources have said that NBA teams are monitoring Vasilije Micic’s situation in Europe, according to Kevin O’Connor of The Ringer.

The Anadolu Efes guard has become one of the world’s best players who is not playing in the NBA.

Micic was drafted 52nd in the 2014 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers, so they still own his rights.

The 76ers haven’t really shown interest in bringing Micic over to the NBA, as it could be tough for him to fit there with so many other players getting shots like Joel Embiid, Tobias Harris, Al Horford and Ben Simmons.

Micic has previously stated that he wouldn’t come to the NBA just to be on a roster, as he wants a chance to play.

He is a pass-first point guard who can knock down spot-up threes, as he is averaging 2.3 made threes per game.

The 26-year-old also has good size for a point guard at 6-foot-6 and possesses a high basketball IQ.

In his second season with Anadolu Efes, Micic is averaging 14.2 points and 5.8 assists per game, while shooting 46.6 percent from the field and 40.2 percent from three-point.

If an opportunity doesn’t come with the 76ers, it sounds like another team could be willing to bring him over, as his skillset fits into today’s NBA.
