Los Angeles Lakers could be adding another veteran to the roster. Reportedly, former teammate of LeBron James, J.R. Smith will have a workout with the Lakers.
While nothing is guaranteed, Smith will get a chance to prove he can be useful for the Lakers and things will move from there, as reported by Brandon ‘Scoop B’ Robinson of Heavy:
According to a Lakers source close to the situation, Smith will get a workout with the Los Angeles Lakers next week.
“There are no guarantees,” said the source.
“They want to see what he can do and if it is a fit, we’ll take it from there.”
Smith has been without a team since he was waived by the Cleveland Cavaliers last summer.
