Houston Rockets guard Austin Rivers referred to the scary accident of Chandler Parsons, stating that the forward of the Atlanta Hawks “is improving”.

“I called and talk to his friends and family last night,” Rivers said, per Jonathan Feigen of the Houston Chronicle.

“It’s scary what happened to him. It’s very unfortunate what happened. They seemed in good spirits last night about the fact he’s doing better. I didn’t talk to him, obviously,” Rivers added.

Last week, Parsons was involved in a car accident as he was driving home from practice in the Atlanta suburb of Brookhaven.

According to his lawyers, he was hit by a driver who was reportedly charged with driving under the influence of alcohol.

Per his legal team, the 31-year-old suffered a traumatic brain injury, disk herniation, and a torn labrum.
