Royce O’Neale has signed a four-year $36 million contract extension with the Utah Jazz, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

O’Neale is in his third season with the Jazz, averaging career-highs with 6.2 points, 5.0 rebounds and 2.5 assists per game, while shooting 44.3 percent from three-point.

He is also a defensive specialist who usually ends up taking on the opposing team’s toughest matchup.

O’Neale went undrafted out of Baylor and played two seasons in Europe before coming to the NBA.

The Jazz are an organization that puts a lot of emphasis on player development, according to Wojnarowski, and O’Neale is the latest success story.
