Kawhi Leonard will become the first San Diego State Aztec to have his jersey retired during a ceremony on Feb. 1.

Leonard led the Aztecs to a program-best 34-3 record and a Sweet 16 tournament appearance in the 2010-2011 season.

They lost to the eventual champions, Connecticut, led by Kemba Walker.

In his two-year college career, Leonard led the Aztecs to two Mountain West Conference titles and two NCAA Tournaments, including the school’s first Sweet 16.

He also earned second-team All-American honors in 2011.

Leonard averaged 14.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game, while shooting 44.9 percent from the field over 70 games in two seasons.

He is just one of three players in program history to average a double-double for his career.

Leonard is expected to be present at his No. 15 jersey retirement, as the Los Angeles Clippers also have a game that afternoon.
