Thunder GM, Sam Presti, addressed the return of Russell Westbrook to Oklahoma City for the first time as an opponent on Thursday (09/01).
Presti told reporters that this will be a unique moment, as Westbrook was a catalyst for a lot of incredible moments and memories for OKC fans.
The eight-time All-Star and 2017 MVP finished his Thunder career with averages of 23.0 points, 7.0 rebounds and 8.4 assists. He also averaged a triple-double the past three seasons.
Westbrook is also the Thunder franchise leader in points, free throws and box/minus.
The return of Westbrook to Oklahoma City will take place on Thursday night (09/01), when the Thunder host the Houston Rockets.
