Derrick Rose posted a game-high 28 points (8/19 FG, 2/3 3Pt, 10/10 FT), five assists, three rebounds, one steal and one block in 29 minutes of action in the Blake Griffin-less Detroit Pistons’ 99-106 loss over the Los Angeles Lakers at Staples Center on Sunday night. The Pistons dropped to 13-24. Rose topped 20 points for the fourth time in his last five games.
“We played with urgency tonight and played as hard as we could. Certain plays, we wish we could take back but as far as the effort, we played as hard as we could. It’s a reason why they’re the No. 1 team in the league with blocking shots. They have great length with Dwight, McGee and Davis back there. In this game, it’s something you rarely see with guys that athletic back there,” Rose said of the game, per The Detroit News.
