Anthony Davis scored 46 points (15/21 FGs, 3/5 threes, 13/13 FTs), grabbed 13 rebounds, handed out an assist, tallied three steals and blocked a shot in the Los Angeles Lakers’ 123-113 victory over the New Orleans Pelicans at Staples Center on Friday night. The Lakers have won four games in a row and are now at 28-7. Davis, who posted over 40 points in both games vs. the Pelicans this season, became the first Laker to put up 46 points and 13 rebounds in a game since Shaq in 2003.

“Even though we won the game (in New Orleans), I didn’t like playing that way where they were just forcing the ball. I knew the situation, obviously, and my teammates wanted me to play well against my former team the first time. … It was an emotional game for me (in November). I just wanted to play as good as possible. Tonight, I didn’t have that many emotions because I got that out of the way the first game. It was just another game. We just come out and play and did whatever I can to get the win,” Davis said, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN.
