Retired guard Darren Collison could be eyeing a return to the NBA in February after he retired last summer.

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Los Angeles Clippers have emerged as Collison’s two favorite destinations if he indeed comes out of retirement, according to Adrian Wojnarowski.

Collison retired last June to focus on his faith and his status as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

In 708 career games, Collison averaged 12.5 points, 5.0 assists and 1.2 steals per game.

The only true point guard for the Lakers is Rajon Rondo who has battled injuries this season, so Collison could fit with them.

The Clippers are in a similar scenario, as their main point guard Patrick Beverley is currently out with a wrist injury, so it also makes sense as a possible landing spot for Collison.

Collison played the 2013-2014 season with the Clippers.
