LA Lakers superstar LeBron James could be sidelined for some time, after aggravating a previous nagging groin injury.

James got injured during the clash with the LA Clippers on Christmas Day (106-111) after colliding with the Clippers’ guard Patrick Beverley.

“I felt healthy going into the game,” said James, per Dave McMenamin of ESPN. “I got kneed in the groin taking a charge from Pat Bev, and it kind of set me right back to where I was five days ago,” the “King” added.

James could miss some time in order to fully recover from his injury, with the Lakers playing back-to-back games against the Portland Trail Blazers and the Dallas Mavericks this weekend.

“To be honest, I haven’t even thought about Portland just yet,” said James, who finished the game against the Clippers with 23 points (9/24 shooting), nine rebounds and 10 assists.

“I’m always around the clock with my body, getting my treatment. If I’m feeling great, I’ll be in the lineup. If I’m feeling well, I’ll be in the lineup. We’ll see what happens,” he mentioned.

The Lakers are on top of the West with a 24-7 record, whereas the Clippers are at 23-10.
