Portland Trail Blazers forward Carmelo Anthony says he plans to play in the team’s coming games, despite his knee injury.

Anthony is dealing with a knee contusion and missed Saturday’s (21/12) game against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

However, the 10-time All-Star intends to return to action very soon and may be available for Monday’s (23/12) game against the New Orleans Pelicans.

“Everything is good. It was just a knee-to-knee contusion. I’ll come in the gym early and see how it feels. I intend to play,” Anthony said, per Jamie Goldberg of The Oregonian.

Anthony, who has been averaging 16 points and 6.2 rebounds, got injured on Friday (20/12).
