Milwaukee Bucks players Khris Middleton, Donte DiVincenzo and Brook Lopez shared their thoughts about the upcoming NBA Christmas Day game against the Philadelphia 76ers.

Q: Looking ahead to next week, you have the Christmas game. You played on Christmas Day last year. Is there something extra special about playing in that matchup?

Khris Middleton: “Playing on Christmas is always special. Every player wants to be on that Christmas Day game. It’s one of the best days to play, when everybody is watching on national TV on a holiday. We all used to watch the games growing up as kids during the holiday season, so it’s pretty cool. It’s a special game to play on that day.”

Q: Is there anything special about playing on Christmas this year? Do you have anything planned as a team to celebrate?

Donte DiVincenzo: “I know I’m going to be home for Christmas Eve dinner, so that’s my plan. I know they’ve got a team dinner planned for everybody. But also, playing on Christmas is surreal. Last year, I was available but didn’t really get to play. This year, I’m hoping to get a good run out there and be home. Those fans love their team, so it’ll be a good atmosphere.”

Q: Looking ahead to next week, you’ve got the Christmas game. Obviously, there’s a natural rivalry with the Sixers being two of the top teams in the East. Does that game being on Christmas add anything extra to the matchup?

Brook Lopez: “It’s definitely an exciting Christmas matchup. It’s a bit away, we all have to wait for Christmas, unfortunately. The Sixers are a great team. It’s always kind of like a knock-down, drag-out when we play them. It’s a fun, physical game.”

NBA Christmas Day games are available to watch on Sky Sports Arena on Dec. 25 starting from 5pm in the UK.
