Kendrick Perkins: “Doc [Rivers] hurt my career, I was supposed to be an All-Star but he made me into a role player at the age of 24”

Could Kendrick Perkins have become an All-Star? Well, at least he thinks so. According to Perkins, if it wasn’t for Doc Rivers (then head coach of the Boston Celtics), he would be an All-Star.

The former NBA champion (in 2008) talked with Brian “Red Mamba” Scalabrine about this on NBC Sports:

Perkins averaged 5.8 points and 5.5 rebounds during his NBA career which lasted 14 years.
