Panathinaikos and Greece NT head coach, Rick Pitino, said he is not sure Giannis Antetokounmpo will play in the pre-Olympic Tournament.
“I hope I get star Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Greek national team,” Pitino told the Israeli outlet Walla.
“I’m not sure he’ll make it to the pre-Olympic tournament in Canada, and without him, we will have a very hard time qualifying for the Olympics,” the 67-year-old Hall of Famer added.
Greece will participate in the Olympic Qualifying Tournament held in Victoria, Canada and will face China and Canada in Group A of the preliminary round of the tournament.
