The Washington Wizards announced rookie forward Rui Hachimura will miss the team’s next five games due to a groin contusion.

He will be re-evaluated after those five games.

Hachimura has yet to miss a game in his rookie season.

This will be the first time he missed a game since his freshman season at Gonzaga.

He played in every game of his sophomore and junior years.

Hachimura is now the sixth current injured player for the Wizards, joining John Wall (Achilles), Thomas Bryant (foot), Moe Wagner (ankle), CJ Miles (wrist) and Jordan McRae (hand).
