The Los Angeles Lakers forward LeBron James and the Miami Heat big man Bam Adebayo have been named NBA Players of the Week for week eight. After the announcement, James took to Twitter to praise Adebayo, who won this award for the first time in his career:
Adebayo recorded two triple-doubles last week and was close to averaging a triple-double as well, with 20.0 points, 11.3 rebounds and 8.7 assists per game. LeBron, meanwhile, recorded one triple-double last week and almost averaged a triple-double for the week with 28.3 points, 11.0 boards and 9.7 assists per contest.
