ASVEL Villeurbanne overcomes Armani Milano

ASVEL Villeurbanne pulled off an incredible comeback and managed to beat Armani Milano (89:82) at home in Round 13 of the EuroLeague.

This was the 6th win for the French team (6-7), while the Italian squad now has 7 victories and 6 defeats.

It was a neck to neck fight during the first few minutes of the game, but then Armani took the lead and finished the first half with a seven-point difference (45:38).

It was the third quarter that decided the winner, though. ASVEL exploded during these 10 minutes and scored amazing 32 points while allowing Armani only 16.

The best player for Zvezdan Mitrović’s squad was Jordan Taylor with 18 points, and 4 assists (index rating of 22). The best scorer with 19 points was David Lighty. These two players were the only ones with double-digit points for ASVEL, while Tonye Jekiri had 12 rebounds.

For Armani Milano, Luis Scola scored 14, Sergio Rodriguez 13, and both Arturas Gudaitis and Kaleb Tarczewski ended the match with 12 points.

In the next round, both teams are heading to Spain, Armani Milano will play against Real Madrid and ASVEL will face Barcelona.
