Cajasol Banca Civica got a big win against Assignia Manresa 76-65 in a great game by Paul Davis, who paced the winners scoring 21 points and grabbing 22 rebounds. Marcus Landry was the best player on the visiting side with 11 points.
The local team started the game really well, managing to get a short advantage by the end of the first quarter. Since the very beginning, it was made clear that the main goal was to stop Doellman, the best player in Manresa so far. Bogdanovic and Rubio did his job realle nice.
In the paint, Davis scored and rebounded better than ever, while Calloway, once again, proved to be fully recovered from any kind of injury, after some disappointing months. It’s kind of disturbing how this may affect Satoranski, who was starting to feel comfortable as the starting point guard of the team. Time will tell if he is already a grown player or not.
Manresa seemed shocked with this beginning, since they hardly found ways to score easy baskets. All this said, the local team had a 15 points lead by the end of the first half, with Doellman having scored not a single basket and Hanga playing the point guard position ot improve their game, everything being just a losing effort.
In the second half, nothing changed. Manresa tried again, specially with some good baskets coming from Hanga and Landry, but CBC soon entered the game again, and then it was only time for Davis to break the local record for total rebounds in a single game, setting the new mark with 22 rebounds, the most in the last 10 years of the league, too.
