Jasikevicius back to Athens (vid)

Panatihnaikos’ legendary coach Zeljko Obradovic have confirmed the return of Sarunas Jasikevicius to the Athenian club.

When asked at the airport (flying to Moscow to play in Gomelsky Cup along with CSKA, Fenerbahce and Zalgiris) about the Lithuanian former Panathinaikos player Obradovic stated: “We are waiting for him to join us. But he has every right to get some rest, like all the players who competed in Eurobasket.”

Greek international Nick Calathes and Kostas Kaimakoglou will also skip the Moscow tournament to get some much needed rest.

“Jasikevicius will be the last addition to the squad”, concluded Obradovic.

Panathinaikos will make Jasikevicius signing official as soon as Milenko Tepic signs his release (heading to Cajasol). There is also interest from some clubs in Giorgi Shermadini.
