Germany signed off from Eurobasket 2011 after an 84-75 defeat to the hosts Lithuania in the final game of Group E.

Spain, France, Serbia and Lithuania advance the quarter finals in Kaunas. Germany and Turkey go home.

Rimantas Kaukenas led the hosts with 19 points. Chris Kaman led all scorers with 25 points.

Serbia advanced to the quarter finals of Eurobasket following an exciting 68-67 victory over Turkey.

That heartbraking defeat means that the World Championship silver medallists are eliminated.

Turkey’s Ersan Ilyasova missed a fade away with a second remaining as Serbia booked their place in the quarter finals in Kaunas.

Milos Teodosic led all scorers for Serbia with 20 points. Enes Kanter and Omer Onan each got 11 points for Turkey.

In the least important game of the day, Spain easily defeated France 96-69.

France, who rested Tony Parker and Joakim Noah as a precaution (the latter, a thigh injury) were held to just 10 points in the third period as Spain pulled away to top the group.
