EuroBasket hangover 3: Group C

Greece suffered a shock defeat as Group C resumed play yesterday. As Bo McCallebb went for 27 points as FYR of Macedonia beat Greece 72-58.

 

In a game that was nip-and-tuck throughout, the Macedonians put together an exciting 11-0 run to secure victory, whilst holding the Greeks to just 11 points for the entire quarter.

Finland earned their first win of Eurobasket with a convincing 92-64 victory over Bosnia & Herzegovina.

A 34-18 third quarter put the game out of reach, as Finland simply couldn’t miss from the field.

Bosnia’s Henry Domercant led all scorers with 25 points. Mikko Koivisto led the Finns with 17.

The Croats went on a 12-3 run in the third to ensure victory, after struggling to shake Montenegro off. Ante Tomic stood out for Croatia with 26 points and eight rebounds.

Goran Jeretin reeled-off 18 points for Montenegro.
