Kostas Sloukas and Co. beat Khimki at home

In the opening game of Round 11 in the EuroLeague, Kostas Sloukas and co. helped Fenerbahce beat Khimki in Istanbul (89-76).

From the beginning of the game, the team from Istanbul was focused, even though they were missing three players, due to different types of injuries – Nando De Colo, Jan Vesely, Leo Westermann and Nikola Kalinić.

But, the rest of the team did a fantastic job with protecting the home court against the Russian team. Sloukas, Melih Mahmutoglu and Luigi Datome were the ones that lead the team.

“The Greek magic” (Sloukas) was one assist shy of the double-double score. Sloukas finished the game with 19 points and 9 assists for an index rating of 23. He was the MVP of the match.

Fenerbahce captain Mahmutoglu scored also 19 points (index rating of 20), while Datome was the best scorer of the team with 20 points for an index rating of 18.

Besides this excellent trio, there were two more players with 10+ points in Fenerbahce roster. Derrick Williams finished the match with 12 and 8 boards, while Ahmet Duverioglu added 10 (index rating of 18).

On the other side, Janis Timma was the best scorer of Khimki with 26 points. His teammate Anthony Gill added 18 with 9 rebounds (the best index rating in the match – 26), while Jonas Jerebko scored 10 points.

After Round 11, Fenerbahce has 4 wins and 7 losses, while Khimki has 6 victories and 5 defeats.
