According to the player’s agent Tony Dutt, Markieff Morris (22, 208cm, PF) is in advanced talks with Euroleague champions Panathinaikos.

The agent made the statement to Yahoo Sports’ Marc Spears, as the latter made it known through his twitter account.

Panathinaikos’ planning was to acquire an American player for the starting power forward position, after Antonis Fotsis’ departure to EA Milano,

Zeljko Obradovic repeatedly stated he wanted a young player, with outside shooting skills for the position. In his last NCAA season Morris averaged 13.6 points (with 42% from behind the arc) and 8.3 rebounds. The Kansas graduate was picked at #13 by the Phoenix Suns in last NBA Draft.
