Barcelona announces Huertas

Barcelona have found the new anti-Rubio in the face of Brazilian international Marcelinho Huertas.

The former Caja Laboral point guard signed a four-years deal with ACB champions, rejecting a more lucrative offer form Anadolu Efes, because he wanted to stay and play in Spain.

The player started his career in ACB playing for DKV Joventut in 2004. Three eyars later he moved to Bilbao, before going to Italy (whose nationality he holds) to play for Fortitudo Bologna. In 2009/10 season he signed with Caja Laboral, winning the ACB title, sweeping Barcelona in the process.

He averaged 10.3 points and 5.5 assists in Euroleague, last season.
