Kinsey signs with Anadolu Efes

Anadolu Efes has signed the North American forward Tarence Kinsey who played for Fenerbahçe last season. He is 27 years old and stands 6.5 feet tall.

After graduating from South Carolina College, Kinsey signed his first Professional contract with the NBA team Memphis Grizzlies in the 2006-07 and then joined Fenerbahçe next season. He turned back to the NBA in the 2008-09 season, signing with Cleveland Cavaliers, and then back around again to Fenerbahçe prior to the 2009-10 season.

Kinsey played a total of 20 games in the Beko Basketball League during the last season and averaged 5.8 points, 3.1 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.3 steals per game.

The successful player also played 14 games in the Turkish Airlines Euroleague and averaged 8.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, 1.1 assists and 1.4 steals.

Commenting on Tarence Kinsey’s signing, Engin Özerhun, the General Manager of Anadolu Efes, said, “Kinsey, who terminated his contract with Fenerbahçe, is very familiar with Turkish basketball. I believe he will contribute to our team considerably in both the domestic and European leagues. I think Kinsey will be an important member of our team which we have been making even stronger for the coming season.”

Anadolu Efes has signed Tarence Kinsey under a 1-year contract with an option for a second.
