In an interview with the Israeli radio station 103FM, David Blatt said Maccabi Tel-Aviv is one of the teams that can reach the EuroLeague Final Four.
“I don’t want to make big statements, but without a doubt, Maccabi and Barcelona are very well built and play very well. They are among the strong teams in this year’s EuroLeague.
Also this year I think Maccabi is one of the teams that can go to the Final Four,” the former head coach of Olympiacos stated.
Blatt also talked about his health condition and the possibility of returning to a team’s bench.
“At the moment, I am focused on recovering or doing my best to be in good shape while at the same time having the opportunity to enjoy other things.
If at some point I feel better, then I can return to the bench. I can go back, but I’m not sure,” the 60-year-old stated.
Blatt has won the 2014 EuroLeague title with Maccabi Tel-Aviv, the 2016 NBA championship with the Cleveland Cavaliers and the 2018 EuroCup title with Darussafaka.
