Halperin chooses Spartak

As officially announced by the Russian club, Yotam Halperin has signed a contract with Spartak St. Petersburg.

The former Maccabi Tel Aviv and Olympiacos has signed a two-years deal. He had previously signed for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the summer, but due to heavy taxation for local players returning from abroad, he decided to continue his career outside Israel.

Halperin will get to play in the Eurocup for the first time, after playing every single of the past ten seasons in Euroleague.

Last season he averaged 4.5 points, 1.9 rebounds and 1.3 assists with Olympiacos in 13 games in Euroleague. He has won two Euroleague trophies playing for Maccabi Tel Aviv.
