Tornike Shengelia was tremendous offensively (22 points) and helped Baskonia defeat CSKA Moscow at home (80-70).

The Georgian power forward/center and captain of the Basques led his team to an 18-11 run in the fourth quarter, which enabled Baskonia to seal the deal.

The Muscovites never recovered after that and suffered their second loss in the last three games. For the Russians, Mike James and Janis Strelnieks scored 17 points apiece.

Baskonia improved to 4-5, whereas CSKA dropped to 6-3.
