Australia is finalizing an agreement with Philadelphia 76ers head coach Brett Brown to become the national team’s head coach.

Brown would coach the Aussies in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

The Australian team roster could include 76ers All-Star Ben Simmons and other players who played in the 2019 FIBA World Cup like Aron Baynes, Matthew Dellavedova, Joe Ingles and Patty Mills.

There will be big expectations for the Australian team at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics after their fourth-place finish at the 2019 FIBA World Cup.

Brown previously coached the Australian team from 2009 to 2012, including a quarterfinals appearance in the 2012 London Olympic Games.

Brown was also an assistant coach for Australia from 1995 to 2003, in the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games.
