Luka Doncic scored 42 points (on 14/27 shooting), 12 assists, and 11 rebounds in the Dallas Mavericks’ 117-110 home win against the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. Doncic joined LeBron James as the only players in the NBA history to record 40+ in triple-doubles as 20-year-olds. After the game, Kristaps Porzingis praised his Mavs’ teammate:
“Luka is playing like an MVP-caliber player right now. Career high (in points) for him, triple-double, I’m happy for him. He’s just doing things, penetrating, drawing fouls, being super effective for us, shooting the ball well. He’s doing it all for us and I’m happy that he’s able to play at this level right now,” Porzingis said, per Mavs.com.
