Khimki and Anadolu Efes protected their home courts and climbed to the top of the standings in the EuroLeague (6-2).

In Moscow, Khimki defeated Armani Milano (87-79) and put an end to the Italians’ six-game winning streak.

The Russians used a 16-0 run in the third quarter to take the lead (60-56), but Armani stood tall and tied the game at 65.

The hosts, though, rallied to an 11-0 run and cruised to the victory (80-68), as the visitors never recovered after that.

Alexey Shved led the winners with 24 points and seven assists, whereas Luis Scola had 16 points for the losing squad.

Both teams now have identical records (6-2).

In Istanbul, Anadolu Efes saw Zenit Saint Petersburg come back from a 25-point deficit (67-42), but stood tall and edged the Russians (90-88).

Vasilije Micic (24 points) and Shane Larkin (22 points) combined for 46 points for the winners, whereas Austin Hollins had a game-high 26 points (7/11 in three-pointers) for the losing squad.
