In a late thriller in Athens, ALBA Berlin survived Panathinaikos in double overtime (105-106) and put an end to a six-game losing streak.

The Germans were in control until halftime (49-58), but the “Greens” turned thongs around in the second half (39-30) and forced an overtime (88-88).

Things did not change much later and a second overtime was forced (98-98). Luke Sikma scored the game-winning points (from the free-throw line), with eight seconds to go, and ALBA emerged victorious, as Tyrese Rice missed the game-winning shot at the buzzer.

Martin Hermansson led the winners, with 20 points and 10 rebounds, whereas Ioannis Papapetrou was unstoppable for the losing squad, with a career-high 39 points.

ALBA Berlin snapped a six-game losing streak and improved to 2-6, whereas Panathinaikos dropped to 4-4.
