Pascal Siakam of the Toronto Raptors is excited to have a more important role on the team after the team’s primary options, Kawhi Leonard and Danny Green, left Toronto.
“When you get to shoot the ball a little bit more, it gets you excited a little bit. I like that,” the 25-year-old Cameroonian told the media.
The increase in Siakiam’s role with the Raptors is clearly seen looking at his numbers. Last season he averaged 16.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game in 31.9 minutes per game.
Meanwhile this season so far Siakam is averaging 27.4 points, 9.4 rebounds and 3.7 assists per game in 35.4 minutes per game. His field goal attempts increased even more significantly – from 6.5 last season to 10.2 this season.
