The triumph of ASVEL Villeurbanne over the defending champions, CSKA Moscow, was the highlight of the seventh round of the EuroLeague.

At the Astroballe, a three-pointer by Jordan Taylor, with 13.4 seconds to go, was enough to lead ASVEL past CSKA Moscow in a late thriller (67-66).

Mike James missed the game-winning two-pointer at the buzzer and the Muscovites suffered their second loss in the competition (5-2).

On the other hand, ASVEL improved to 4-3.

Fenerbahce snapped a three-game losing streak by defeating Bayern Munich at home (90-82).

It was a close game for three quarters (18-15, 40-39, 61-62), yet the Turks outscored their opponents 29-20 in the fourth quarter and sealed the deal.

Fenerbahce improved to 2-5, whereas Bayern dropped to 3-4.

Panathinaikos saw Valencia come back from a double-digit deficit at halftime (45-35), but stood tall in the fourth quarter and earned the victory (91-80).

Nick Calathes led the winners with 13 points, 12 rebounds and nine assists, whereas Jordan Loyd had 27 points and eight assists for the losing squad.

Panathinaikos improved to 4-3, whereas Valencia dropped to 1-6.

At the sold-out Zalgirio Arena, Barcelona edged Zalgiris Kaunas (86-93) and remained on top of the standings.

The Catalans started the fourth quarter on a 3-8 run and never looked back (66-74), as the Lithuanians could not turn things around after that.

Barcelona improved to 6-1, whereas Zalgiris dropped to 3-4.
