Maccabi Tel Avin is having a great start so far with coach Sfairopoulos leading his team to 4-2 record. After a slow start(0-2), Maccabi has a 4-win streak and the group of Giannis Sfairopoulos is about to face Alba Berlin at home.

Othello Hunter is quite efficient in the start of the season averaging 9.5 points and 6.2 rebounds per contest. That’s his best rebounding effort after a couple of years and he is the part of one of the most “athletic” front-courts in Europe with Quincy Acy and Tarik Black.

According to overbasket.com, Hunter has the third best Drtg on his team with 82.6 points per 100 possessions, while he is forcing his opponents shooting a “poor” 33.7% in the paint.

Hunter talked to talkbasket.net for the win against Olympiacos and the aspirations of a top-4 seed in the regular season.

Q:What was the key elements for the win against Olympiacos?

“We tried to stop them for doing what they like to do and tried to force guys to be uncomfortable by playing better defense. That was the main thing in our run”.

Q:Do you believe you can be one of the four top-seeded teams in EuroLeague this season?

A:“I think we got a special group. We got to work everyday, one step at the time. But who knows…We have a good team and we are going to get better as time goes on”

Q:You played for a couple of years for Olympiacos. How do you feel coming back here again?

“I always feel good, There is a lot of love….It’s always a great feeling coming here(in Pireaus). We’ve been through a lot as a group, when I was here. It’s good coming back”.
