Dzikic to take over KK Zagreb

According to exclusive information obtained by TalkBasket, Aleksandar Dzikic will be taking over KK Zagreb next season.

The successful Serbian coach has coached Krka to the Eurochallenge title (where he was named Coach of the Year) and will be aiming to end Olimpija’s dominance in the Slovenian League in the next few weeks during the play-offs.

Dzikic, who was recently appointed as Serbia U20 NT head coach, has agreed to take charge of KK Zagreb next season and according to the same sources he will be taking Chris Booker (currently with him at Krka) with him to the Croatian capital as well.

The American power forward/center will be replacing Luka Zoric (Mario Kasun will be probably leaving too).

The fourty year old who is considered one of the most promising upcoming European coaches was the second ever European to be an assistant coach in NBA (for Minnesota Timberwolves back in 2005) and the first European to been appointed as NBA assistant coach without prior professional experience in the US, either on professional or collegiate level.
