LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers will square off against Luka Doncic and the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
Doncic always dreamed of playing against his idol and NBA superstar, James.
Last season, the two teams matched up three times, James playing in two of those games due to his nagging groin injury.
The Lakers won all three games by scores of 114-113, 114-103 and 107-97.
After the first meeting, Doncic went straight to the Lakers locker room to receive a gift from James.
A representative for James brought out the signed number 23 jersey that read, “To Luka D, God Bless and continue to #StriveForGreatness.”
Doncic then posted a picture to his Instagram story:
“I always wanted his jersey,” Doncic said afterward per ESPN. “It was something special to me.”
