Nando de Colo and Fenerbahce Beko overpowered Kirolbet Baskonia in Istanbul for the first EuroLeague win in season 2019/2020 (87-80).
In the first two rounds of the best European club competition, the team from Istanbul had two defeats (the first one against Real Madrid and the second one against Crvena Zvezda) as a guest. But on their home court, they managed to celebrate against Baskonia, mostly thanks to an excellent scoring night of Nando de Colo.
The French player finished the match with 39 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists for the index rating of 44. Nando de Colo was the only one in Fenerbahce with a double-digit scoring, no one else had 10 or more points. Jan Vesely ended the game with 9 points, 7 rebounds, and 5 assists (index rating of 16).
On the other side, four players scored 10 or more points for the Basques and the best scorer among them was Tornike Shengelia with 18 points. Shavon Shields scored one point less than Shengelia, while Pierria Henry added 15 and Achille Polonara scored 10.
In the next round of the EuroLeague, Fenerbahce will travel to Milan to play against Olimpia Milano, and Kirolbet Baskonia is hosting Olympiacos.
