The head coach of the Houston Rockets, Mike D’Antoni, was happy for the preseason debut of Russell Westbrook.
Westbrook made his preseason debut with the Rockets in the two matches against the Toronto Raptors at the Saitama Super Arena in Japan on Tuesday (08/10) and Thursday (10/10).
“He’s just now starting to play. Every game he will get better. He’ll get back to his level pretty soon. He’s still not where he wants to be but he’ll get there,” D’Antoni told reporters in the press conference after the victory over the Raptors (118-111).
Westbrook returned to action after having an arthroscopic knee surgery in the summer.
