CSKA Moscow and ASVEL Villeurbanne protected their home courts and remained undefeated in the EuroLeague (2-0).

The Muscovites led from start to finish against Bayern Munich and cruised to the victory (79-68). Despite the Bavarians’ effort to turn things around (50-48), the Russians earned a 17-point lead and never looked back (77-60).

Will Clyburn scored a team-high 15 points for the winners, whereas Greg Monroe had a game-high 17 points for the losing squad, which dropped to 1-1.

For its part, ASVEL Villeurbanne came back from a 13-point deficit in the third quarter and survived Panathinaikos at home (79-78).

The “Greens” were in control after 30 minutes in the game (50-63), but the French outscored them 29-15 in the final quarter and claimed the win.

David Lighty led the winners in scoring with a team-high 18 points, whereas DeShaun Thomas posted a game-high 22 points for the losing squad, which dropped to 1-1.

In the other matches of the night, Real Madrid (2-0) edged Maccabi Tel-Aviv (0-2) at home, thanks to a three-pointer by Jaycee Carroll (86-85).

At the same time, Crvena Zvezda played excellent defensively and dominated Fenerbahce in Belgrade (68-56).

The Serbians earned their first victory in the competition (1-1), whereas the Turks remained winless (0-2).
