Giannis Antetokounmpo talked about the difficulties he faced when he played with FIBA rules in the Basketball World Cup.
Here is what the “Greek Freak” told reporters following the preseason victory over the Utah Jazz (133-99):
“Playing with FIBA I was like a prisoner. I just got out of the cage, the cell. I am free now. The rules, the way basketball is played in FIBA, the spacing.
I felt like I was playing one against five every time I had the ball. It’s totally different here. I prefer NBA basketball.”
