Amazing Zagorac for the first home win of Partizan

Partizan NIS won 93-80 against Tofas Bursa in the second round of the EuroCup, in the new home of the team – the “Štark” Arena. Rade Zagorac had an amazing night.

The team from Belgrade will host their opponents in “Štark” Arena for another five years after replacing “Aleksandar Nikolić” Sports Hall, aka Pionir. In the first game, Partizan already celebrated in front of their fans.

The guests were terrific at the beginning of the match, but their sprint lasted only 20 minutes. The only quarter that belonged to the guest was the first.

In the first 10 minutes, Tofas scored 27 and Partizan 15 points. The home team started to wake up in the second quarter, but at the end of that part the guests led by 4 (49-45).

In the second half, it was a one-team game, while Rade Zagorac and Novica Veličković were the ones who took control and helped their team win.

Zagorac finished the match with 26 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals (index rating of 35), while Novica Veličković had 15 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Both Nemanja Gordić and Torrian Walden scored 12 points.

Devin Williams scored 18 points for Tofas, while two of his teammates had 16 points each – Tarik Phillip and DJ White. Matt Lojeski ended the match with 14 points.

With this comeback win, the team from Belgrade improved to 2-0, while Tofas has 1 victory and 1 loss.
