Zenit Saint Petersburg defeated CSKA Moscow and handed the Muscovites their second defeat in the VTB League (79-82).
CSKA was in front in the first half (27-22, 49-46), yet the visitors made a come-back and took the lead (62-66). The “Bear” tied the game at 77, but Zenit stood tall and sealed the deal.
Evgeny Voronov led the way for the winners with 15 points, while Anton Ponkrashov and Austin Hollins added 13 points each.
On the other hand, Darrun Hilliard scored 16 points for the losing squad, with Mike James posting 12 points.
Zenit remained undefeated in the VTB League, whereas CSKA has won only once in three league games.
