Barcelona rallies past Anadolu Efes in EuroLeague opener

Barcelona played very well on both ends and cruised to an easy victory over Anadolu Efes in the opening round of the EuroLeague (64-74).

The Catalans were in control from the opening tip and closed the first half in front by 11 (26-37).

The Turks turned things around in the third quarter (46-49), thanks to a 20-12 run, yet the “Blaugrana” brought their lead back to double digits and sealed the deal (61-74).

Nikola Mirotic led the winners with a game-high 24 points, while Malcolm Delaney (11 points, seven assists) and Brandon Davies (10 points) also scored in double figures for Barcelona.

On the other hand, Alec Peters had a team-high 16 points for the losing squad, with Vasilije Micic and Tibor Pleiss adding 14 and 13 points, respectively.
