ImageRegal FC Barcelona finalized one of the hottest moves of the summer with the announcement that recent NBA Lottery Pick, 18-year-old PG
Ricky Rubio.

Rubio has agreed to a six-year deal and moves to Barcelona from nearby DKV Joventut, where he played in the Euroleague and the ACB Spanish League.  Although he battled injuries most of the season, he still managed to score 9.8 points per game, dish out 5.8 assists and grab 2.2 steals thanks to his long arms (200cm wingspan).

SIGNINGS

Rimini (Italy) has signed Ndudi Ebi (PF, 206cm) a former NBA 1st round draft pick. He was born in London and is a dual citizen English/Nigerian who attended High School in Houston, Texas.

FIBA Americas (San Juan, PR)

The Dominican Republic had to come from behind on Tuesday to beat Uruguay 80-74.  Detroit Piston Forward Charlie Villanueva had 19 points and 8 rebounds and Atlanta Hawks Forward Al Horford had 17 points and 12 rebounds for the DR. The third NBA star in the DR lineup, Francisco Garcia (Sacramento Kings) struggled from the floor but still managed to score 10 points, grab 6 rebounds, and had a team high 4 assists. This was the first game of the quarterfinal round.
