Zalgiris’ coach Elias Zouros has been officially named as new Greece National Team coach.
Taking advantage of the fact that Zouros was in Athens for the past couple of days with Zalgiris (they were playing against Olympiacos in Euroleague Top16 phase) the coach and the Greek Basketball Federation sat down to discuss the final details of their contract before Zouros could put his signature on the deal.
Zouros agreed for two seasons. He will coach Greece in Eurobasket 2011 in Lithuania and London 2012 Olympcs, if the team makes it there. He will remain at the helms of Zalgiris as well.
