2019 Basketball World Cup: Day 9 Roundup – The first pairs of the Quarter-finals are set

With Groups I and J coming to an end on Sunday (08/09), the first pairs of the Quarter-finals in the Basketball World Cup are set.

Argentina dominated Poland (65-91) and Spain rallied past Serbia (81-69), Therefore, the Argentinians will clash with the Serbians and the Spaniards will face Poland. Both games will be played on Tuesday (10/09).

In the other two matches of the Round of 16, Italy edged Puerto Rico in overtime (94-89) and Russia defeated Venezuela (69-60).

In the classification games (17-32), Nigeria and Iran secured their place in the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo.
