Spain endured the come-back of Serbia and earned a convincing 81-69 victory, finishing on top of Group J.

Despite their great start (11-20), the Serbians saw the Spaniards turn things around and close the first half in front by eight (45-37), thanks to a 32-17 run in the second quarter.

Spain led by as many as 21 points (63-42), yet Serbia attempted to make a big come-back. However, they could not come any closer than eight points (77-69) and suffered their first defeat in the tournament.

Ricky Rubio led the winners with 19 points, while Victor Claver added 14. On the other hand, Bogdan Bogdanovic had a game-high 26 points for the losing squad.

Both teams advanced to the Quarter-finals. Spain will now face Poland, whereas Serbia will clash with Argentina. Both games will be played on Tuesday (10/09).
