Serbia and Poland remained undefeated in the Basketball World Cup (4-0) and are very close to reaching the quarter-finals.

The Serbians decimated Puerto Rico in their first game in the Round of 16 (90-47), playing very well on both ends.

Puerto Rico remained competitive for just one quarter (23-14), but the Serbians took over after that. They led by as many as 43 points and cruised to an easy victory.

Nemanja Bjelica led the winners in scoring with 18 points, while Nikola Jokic (14 points, 10 rebounds) and Boban Marjanovic (16 points) combined for 30 points for the winners.

If Spain beats Italy later today, then Serbia will officially advance to the quarter-finals.

Poland came back from an 11-point deficit against Russia and earned the 79-74 victory over its opponents.

Even though the Russians led for the majority of the game, Poland went on a 26-17 run in the fourth quarter to turn things around.

With the game tying at 67, Poland made some big shots and sealed the deal, bringing Russia to the brink of elimination (2-2).

If Argentina defeats Venezuela later today, Poland will qualify for the quarter-finals.
